Chelsea François
Assistant Director of Operations

Chelsea François
Hello, I’m Chelsea François, a compassionate soul and the proud Assistant Director of Operations at Consulting Together Community Outreach (CTCO). More than just a professional, I see myself as a beacon of warmth and love in our mission to shape the future leaders of tomorrow through education and life transformation skills. My roots run deep in the community I call home. As a proud local, I began my educational journey at Amos P. Godby High School, later transitioning to Tallahassee Community College. Even during my academic pursuits, I dedicated countless hours to volunteer work, laying the foundation for my unwavering commitment to community service. With a heart devoted to the well-being of the youth and a passion for community service, my journey led me to impactful roles at Leon County Schools. I served as an Assistant Program Director for 21st-century after-school programs, a paraprofessional, and an after-school counselor for five years, leaving an indelible mark on the lives I touched. My dedication only deepened during my service on the board of a non-profit organization, where I mentored young ladies aged 8-12. As a proud New Member of the Junior League of Tallahassee, I also wear the hat of a bookkeeper at Florida Internet and TV. In my pursuit of excellence, I’m on the cusp of completing my degree in Business Administration, a testament to my unwavering commitment to personal growth and professional development. My story is one of empowerment and gratitude. Having benefited from programs similar to those I now champion, I believe it’s my duty to pay forward the encouragement and support I received. I embody the values of CTCO, and as the Assistant Director of Operations, I bring love, dedication, and a genuine desire to impact as many children’s lives as possible.

Lavonia Watson
Director of Special Events

Lavonia Watson
Hello, I’m Lavonia Watson, and I’ve dedicated 26 years of my professional life to the Florida Department of Revenue, where I currently serve as a tax auditor. My journey in the realm of tax auditing has been one of commitment and continuous growth, contributing to the organization’s success.
I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with a focus on Accounting from the University of Phoenix, a milestone that has greatly influenced my career and expertise in the financial domain. The knowledge and skills gained during my academic journey have been instrumental in my role as a tax auditor, allowing me to navigate the intricate landscape of financial regulations and taxation.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I am deeply involved in community service as a board member of Consulting Together Community Outreach (CTCO). Within CTCO, I hold the position of Director of Special Events, a role where I passionately plan and coordinate various events for the organization. This responsibility allows me to showcase my organizational skills and creativity, bringing people together through meaningful and impactful occasions.
One of my core values is education, and I channel this passion by actively teaching and sharing my talents with our youth through CTCO. It brings me immense joy to contribute to the development of the younger generation, empowering them with skills and knowledge that extend beyond the classroom.
At heart, I am an organized and creative virtuoso, finding fulfillment in transforming spaces, objects, and materials into works of art. Interior decorating and event planning are my true passions, and I bring a giving and inventive spirit to these endeavors. Whether it’s creating aesthetically pleasing interiors or orchestrating memorable events, I thrive on the opportunity to bring ideas to life.
In both my professional and community roles, I embody the values of dedication, creativity, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact. As I continue my journey, I look forward to further contributing to the community and leveraging my skills to create meaningful and lasting experiences for others.

Vickie Gordon
Director of Community Engagement

Vickie Gordon
Hello, I’m Vickie Gordon, a proud native of Tampa, Florida. Throughout my 37-year career, I’ve dedicated my professional life to public service, currently holding the position of Senior Management Analyst II with the Department of Business and Professional Regulations. In this role, I contribute my skills to the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco/Bureau of Licensing, where I play a crucial part in the regulatory landscape. Outside of my state responsibilities, I’ve found joy in a different realm—I’m a part time stylist at “The Important Place Hair.” This allows me to express my creativity and connect with others in a unique and personal way. Beyond my professional commitments, I find great fulfillment in community outreach. I have a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of those around me. Here are some of the community events I’ve been involved in: In 2015, I organized my first event, “Mimosa, Mingling, and Marketing.” This event not only brought people together but also contributed to a cause close to my heart—proceeds went to Tallahassee Lemonade Day, supporting kids’ entrepreneurship. It was a gratifying experience to blend networking with philanthropy. In 2017, I spearheaded “Reason for the Season,” a donation drive benefiting The Hope Community in Tallahassee, Florida. This initiative aimed to spread joy during the holiday season and provide essential support to those in need. In 2019, I took on the Back to School Donation Drive/Teacher Edition. Focusing on school supplies for teachers, this effort was geared toward creating a positive and supportive environment for both educators and students alike.
My journey has been marked by a dual commitment—to the intricacies of government work and the personal touch of hairstyling, all while finding fulfillment in giving back to my community. I look forward to continuing this journey, creating new opportunities, and building lasting relationships to make a difference in the lives of those I encounter with Consulting Together Community Outreach.

Suzan Ellen Kurdak
Director of Communications

Suzan Ellen Kurdak
Hello! I’m Suzan Kurdak, and I am honored to be asked to serve as the Director of Communications for Consulting Together Community Outreach.
Originally, I am from New York, but I have lived in Florida most of my life. Moving to Tallahassee in 2016 was one of my best decisions! I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Liberal Studies with a concentration in English, Communications, Business, and a minor in Sociology. UCF is also where I began my communications and public relations career.
I wrote for Walt Disney World and Marriott Vacation Club, but my love of journalism and feature writing drew me to work for a weekly community newspaper. After that, I was able to expand my communication skills and work at Florida Virtual School on the Marketing and Communications team for 10 years. Coupling my love of learning and education, I now work as a news and public affairs specialist for the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs at Florida State University.
I’m also a part-time author and freelance writer who goes by the pen name Suzan E. Zan. I’ve had the honor of winning a few awards for my poetry, non-fiction, and journalism, and write on hard topics as an extension of healing and reflection. I often x-ray my ego, wrestle with intense topics (sometimes we just cuddle) and inject playfulness and sass where I can.
As a professional communications lover of words, my passion is to use my writing skills to create connections to form a strong sense of belonging and community. Driven by a deep commitment to relate, I am dedicated to helping others realize their potential. I am very grateful to partner with Consulting Together Community Outreach to help promote the ways we give back to our youth and community.
