Rickards High School with a 3.7 weighted GPA. This inspiring young man was an active member of Student Government\, the Bowling Team\, and the National Honors Society. He also serves as a mentor and is involved in community church outreach. \nThis highly motivated and driven individual plans to attend the University of West Florida to study medicine. His career goal is to be an anesthesiologist. \nThe Promise Scholarship\, awarded on behalf of Consulting Together Community Outreach (CTCO NP)\, aims to increase college access for minorities by removing some of the financial burdens associated with college. \n“Any youth who is motivated\, regardless of financial status\, should have the opportunity to further their education\,” said a representative from CTCO. \nMekhi is the first in his family to pursue higher education. \n“I believe that this scholarship will provide me with the assistance necessary to achieve my academic and professional goals.
